No good Kurt. My old TF Sports' starter motor packed it in Friday arvo at a Servo.
Wondering if a TR/TS V6 Starter motor will fit at all.

Just swapped one today, the workshop manul I was reading for TH/KH said both bolts came from the same side, except on the car the lower bolt was fron one side, through the flange on the starter, threaded in the engine, and the top bolt was on the other side, in a recess in the front roll stop mount(?), threaded into the starter motor flange. Worked that out after finally getting that big 17mm bolt on the other side undone only to find out its holding the engine to the gearbox and not the starter in. The top one that you have to get at from the transmission side is in a recess thats pretty hard to get into with a socket because the ratchet head hits the transmission, and if you use too long of an extension it will hit another part of the transmission. Since I didn't have a small headed ratchet (1/4 drive with a 14mm socket might do it) I ended up using a universal joint and an extension bar as the handle, or if you have a small enough breaker bar that would probably be a better option.
