My current project requires me to relocate the distributor from the rear bank to the front bank. I'm trying to avoid as much fabrication work as possible. With the different orientation of the motors in the 2nd gens to the 3rd gens I'm wondering the fuel rail would be a straight swap.

Currently I can't mount the dizzy to the front bank, because the water rail inlet and outlets foul up on the dizzy.

Basically what I am chasing is a mirrored version of the water rail that's currently on our 3.5L engines.

This has been done before, but the person who previously attempted it performed a great deal of fabrication, I can't talk to him about other options he looked at because he killed himself in his car.

If someone has a picture of a stripped down of a 2nd gen motor that'd be awesome..

its probably a lot of work as well , but what about converting to a distrubutorless system , as found on 3rd gen Triton , Delica , Pajeros , 3000GTs?

you would need the ECU , coil pack , and add a cam sensor to the front bank.
