I've tried prying them out using brute force and that didn't work. Can anyone tell me how to?
Ive seen section 52A-11 of the workshop manual and am still a bit confused.
thanks in advance.

oh and your gonna need a very short Philips head screw driver to undo the screws from the top closer to the rear.

haha well I know that now! Does this meant I have to remove the backseat first to get to the bolts that hold down the shelf trim?
If that's the case I may just wait till the new speakers arrive before having a looksie. Being 6foot makes it really hard to move around back there :\

You can pull the boot trim out to get to the nuts.
screws from the top holding the speakers in - use one of those hexagonal phillips head inserts that go in a screwdriver with interchangeable bits and turn it with a small socket or with a ring spanner to get the rearmost screws without damaging the demister lines.
