When i bought my Ralliart it came with the front splitter. I now want to fit it but all i got was a box of random screws in an ice cream container that were apparently spares for the car.

I rang mitsubishi and they said the fitting kit of 19 screws (I guess 14 for the splitter and 5 spares) is available for just over $20.

Does anyone know if the screws i have shown are the correct ones for it? They just don't look right for doing the job and most don't fit the holes.

I have never fitted a splitter, or any part on a Ralliart.
But to me that looks like a bunch of different screws that have a bunch of different purposes and places to be.
Most of the time when you fit a particular piece the screws are all similar...
Just speaking from experience lol.

They are 1 of each type of screw i found in the icecream container. Some screws have upto 20 pieces.

you can pretty much just use any screws and screw it into the bar, personally I only have 4, I'm onto my 3rd front bar same splitter its always held on.

Yeah just use a couple screws to hold it in place.

Ok its just i don't want to force screws in making the holes bigger and then screwing it up for future.
I might buy the fitting kit just to be safe. Don't even know how long the screws should be because by feeling each side of the splitter the screws don't go right through the double layer of plastic.

yeh just to confirm the mitsu fitting kit is overkill.. 4-6 screws does that job .. mine never moved on either of my ralliarts.. length doesnt matter to much either..

your best bet, hold it up to the car.. ull see straight away wat needs to happen to make it stay on ok

Hey. I'm fitting mine on Friday. Before I fitted the front bar to the car I turned it upside, sat the splitter on top and drilled about 10x6mm holes in various places. I'll be using stainless steel nuts bolts and washes to secure the splitter. My way is probably over kill but I feel more secure using bolts than screws.

did spare parts give u a part no for the screws? i've got a kit here with MF453093 which is the screw on the bottom left, and 2nd on the right i'm pretty shore its the fitting kit for my splitter

Yes that is the correct number.
I do have around 20 of these screws but they are a little tight in the holes. Are they definately the correct ones?

Also, is there any washer or just screwed straight through?

No washers and the screws you have are wrong.

As i mentioned to you 5 is more than enough.

If you get the fitting kit, i'll go you halves if you like as i can't for the life of me find my kit and 10 screws is more than enough for me.
