I got a remote central locking kit and want to know as much as I can about it, because it doesn't come with any real instructions. The main thing I need to know is about the wire colouring, what colour is each wire from each door that you need to connect to?

1 question first. Does your car have keyed central locking? In other words when you unlock the drivers door do the other doors unlock? If so you only need to use the control box to activate via the remote. Search central locking and you will find what you need. The relay for the factory central locking is under the fuse box on the drivers side behind the kick panel and its only a matter of splicing into this. I have done this on my TS as have several others. If however you dont have it you will need to take the door cards off and fit the door motors. The motors in most kits have two with two wires and two with four. the two wire ones go in the back doors and the four wire ones in the front doors.

Yeah it already has central locking. So I just connect the wires to the wires in the control box? What colours are for what door in the box?

Sorry, not the best thread title, started by asking something else, the later half of this thread may be useful.

You only need two wires from your remote unit to the relay as Pretzil said its been done a few times. Use the search as well as the link he put up. Did mine like about 3 years ago. If you get stuck gimme a yell and I will pull the cover off for you and have a look.

I agree, but don't put yourself through the pain of trying to use the magna forum search function :P , open google advanced search and put "http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/" as the domain, soooo much easier

Edit:
Also, put 'Archive' in the "any of these unwanted words:" box, saves getting doubles
