Camshafts.

Cheap way - Ralliart/380 camshafts
Expensive way - Billet camshafts (RPW, Tighe)

Tuning

Cheap way - Steve Knight Racetech mail order tune
Expensive way - Dyno tune at a reputable Evo tuner and provide them magna definitions (Will post these on amc in due time, in the meantime if you need them pm me), or Drive to Adelaide and have SKR do it.

Exhaust

There is no cheap way to do it properly, for full gains you want to do the whole system (Headers, High flow cat, catback, and rear muffler) If you are after a little extra ponies and some noise, just do the rear muffler.

Engine Conversion

If you're not too attached to your engine, consider a 6G75 conversion (3.8L from the 380).

Manual Conversion

This is by far the biggest bang for buck mod you can do to a Verada (since they were all automatic from factory) - It will release about 10fwkw and you will have power everywhere. You won't look back.

I'd get it retuned with a manual conversion. You would not believe how much you would gain.

cost depends what way you 380 cams would set you back around 300 + install you will loose a bit down low but gain in the top end

im usimg tighe cams custom timed and it makes the 3.5 pull like a train but i just dont have cams you get as good as you spend i guess

Does the G74 need a tune after 380 cam installation?
And, is it true 380 cams are the same as Ralliart cams?

From what I've read on these forums:

Does the G74 need a tune after 380 cam installation?
It doesn't need it, but full potential isn't realised without a tune.

And, is it true 380 cams are the same as Ralliart cams?
I can't remember if they are exactly the same, but they are so close in the outcome that it's not worth splitting hairs over. At least that's what I understand about them.

Sorry to hijack, but is there much benefit getting a stock 3L with straight through exhaust tuned by steve? Im guessing it would result in only a few kw's?
