Hi Guys,

Looking at upgrading my kl veradas sound system, already got most of the gear, looking at wether anybody has been able to mount a sub in either side of the boot layout? As i have a gas kit in the car this is the only place that would look decent, have put some of the standard slimines in from jbhifi etc (to see if they fit) and only the really cheap hidious looking ones like the $199 qmax fit.. :eh: the width and depth seemed ok to mount one of the more decent ones, but unless it was on a lean, the top cut in too much and the boot arm wouldn't close.. anyone had any experience with this? custom made slimline boxes perhaps?? :pleasesign:

Tried fitting it on the floor? Good chance a half decent slimline one would fit above the spare.

I don't think you need a slimline sub. Forum member Bigs made a couple of fibreglass boxes to fit in those boot corners a couple of years back, and as far as I'm aware, people were using regular size 12" subs in them.

cadence make a 10" slimline sub and box combo, because of the curve on the box it will fit on one side easy, 300w rms rated it will run quite well on a 300-400w rms monoblock and has a computer tuned port so will sound good. dirt cheap at jb hifi, http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/car-sound/subwoofers/cadence-fxb-10c-300w-10-sub-with-box/527255
