driviing along in the 94 magna auto and turning a corner the transmission crunched and went banng and doesnt go in any gear anymore whats it likely to be diff? auto? what may be damaged? may pull it to bits and see how it works

either oil pump
torque converter
or diff

might be cv joints if lucky

hows the oil colour and level ?

its not the cv joints, dont think its lost muuch fluid in the auto, some came out the back of the auto where the cv joints go in think thats the diff??

Could be the wave spring letting go and then gears misaligned making the whole thing tear itself apart inside.

is the part the cv shafts go in called a diff, how likely is it thats blown and the rest is still ok?

The box needs to come out and be looked at by an expert in the field before you can define a repair cost.

If its nothing obvious like low fluid level then a rebuild or second hand box are possible options. Wreckers should have them, but they would all be high Km ones.
