Tax time is here and i'm looking ot upgrade my 2.6 litre 4 cyl TR. What will get me the most results for under $500. Also i've found that if i plant my foot the engine will shudder at high revs, but if i plant it almost 100% it wont rev as high but will not shudder, i just assume i'm flooding the engine, is this the case? anyway i live in melbourne so some mods/prices would be great and an idea of what increases i will notice (eg. hp, times etc.). I would like to get a 0 - 100 in around 10-12 seconds or less, but with $500 dunno, what do you guys think i should do?

I really wouldn't bother with a 4 cylinder Magna, they just aren't built to go fast full stop. I'm going to sell mine and get a V6 or V8. If however you did want to spend a little money on it I would go with a Lukey LR2779 muffler - $160 - $200 fully installed and a K+N panel filter - $95 - $110. So that should be around $300 in total. I would do the muffler first as it will prob benefit the car more.

well i bothered with my 4cyl magna (they arent that much slower than a Gen3 V6 auto)..........
and got a 2.5" CAT Back exhaust system with a Hi-flow muffler for $220 fitted.
other mods u could get are a K&N panel filter, or a Pod Filter for around $140.

Suspension mods, although they dont make u go faster they will make your car drive better. A pair of King Spring Lows are about $160.
You could try and get a set of second hand wheels for under $400.....
the options are pretty much endless.....just depends what u want i guess.

extractor and muffler, i reckon pacemaker has something for 2nd gen 4 cyl, unlike the v6.
