Whilst i was looking at E-Bay in the Brembo section,i came across this interesting comment...
For sale are a pair of Front Brembo Calipers only from a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer EVOLUTION.
The auction is for a pair (front left & right).
These were mounted on a 02 WRX and the Car is now being parted out which is why these have come up for sale at a STEAL!!
This will work on models 2004 - 2007 Evos or on Subarus by modifying the knuckle.
Also included are the 4 mounting bolts that you have to order from the dealer or brembo for $8 per bolt.
So,does this mean that Subaru ala WRX Brembo calipers will fit onto the Magna/380 ??

Massive contradiction there. WRX have 2 piston calipers where the Evo has 4 piston Calipers.

Current Rex has 2 piston, previous versions had the 4 piston.

Would be interesting if they did, even more choice for big brake kits.
I'd love a set of Evo brakes. What needs to be done to install them, by the way?

Chisholm, if I remember rightly, has a set of 8 piston monsters on his TJ. I believe that they were an Evo 6 kit, and were a direct bolt on.

Volvo R caliper vs Brembo sti/evo caliper
are they the same exact calipers? they look almost exactly alike and I was wondering if they would bolt up to the same mounting location and use the same brackets if you were to do the big brake conversion using the svr bracket..From my understanding they may be different due to ford having something to do with the developmnent of the volvo R caliper, although it is made by brembo..let me know what you guys think

The pads ARE interchangeable, dont know about the mounts.
Mike is right, everyone but Volvo wants 1000USD EACH for those calipers. They are 3-400ish each from volvo.
I guess not saying brembo is a good thing
there's a shop on ebay that sells machinable mounts for radial mount. basic shape is there you just machine them for perfect fit. there do 2
this one looks about right for 200's
while this one looke better for 700/900
there not cheap but possible a better starting point then a chuck of ally.
thats the problem, 700/900 have a bolt hole spacing of i think 108mm (could be 118 long time since i measured) which interfere with the bolt holes on the R caliper, this is why the Porshce radial mount are easier for these cars. or you can mod in the 240 strut housings.

Does anybody know what I need to be able to install Mitsu EVO Brembo brakes on my 04 WRX?
I figured maybe whatever the STi mounts since they are the same brembos right?
No, the actual Brembo front calipers from the Mitsu EVO 8. Do they bolt up just like the STi Brembos?
I know the pads are different, but can I use STi pads and rotors with the EVO 8 Brembo's and can the calipers bolt up to a 04 WRX sedan?
:bryan
the mounting point on the caliper on the EVO are different than the STi, so, the answer is "NO"
razorlab- I already looked into that and the answer is NO. The caliper design is the same, but the mounting points on the hub is different. Since the mounting bracket is integrated w/ the caliper, the mounting points cannot be changed unlike a Stoptech BBK where the mounting bracket is separate from the caliper assembly.

just a little fun fact
The evo fronts are 320mm (12.6")
The STi fronts are 322mm (12.7")

calipers are probably the same, but the brackets are different. aren't these the same calipers on the 2004-5 6spd G35c's also?
I believe the Sti and Evo calipers are the same along with the Volvo V70R. My buddy has the V70r and the pad design and dimensions are the same as on the evo. As stated before the difference is the bracket and rotors.

Case Closed...
I just called in to my mechanic to see if they fit my car as he had a set of EVO brembo front calipers.......... THEY DONT. Everthing is the same with the exception of the location of the caliper bolts. The EVO holes are approx 1.5mm further apart than the STI's.
Case closed!!!
I know it's closed but I had to add:
WRX and EVO have totally different brake rotor offsets
EVO being around +36
WRX being around +47
that allong with the location of the knuckles on the caliper
sorry i work in the brake business

Evo 5-9 fit Magnas.
Fronts don't need anything, just take the stock Magna dust cover off as the Brembo rotors are about 5 thousand times bigger.
Lines are the same.
The rears require the 3.8mm spacer used to fit AWD rears on and the rear dust cover thing cut out to make room for it as it's mounted near the top.
Look at pics of rear Brembos and you'll know what I mean.
Will also need custom lines for rears.
Other than that, wheels that have the correct offset.
