I have a rattle in my interior, that appears to be coming from the inside of the front left door. It kind of sounds as if the window is a bit loose - like the kind of noise that's made if you slam a door with the window all the way down.

Before I go rip everything apart, is there anything in particular that's been known to come loose or rattle?

Mine makes a little noise when window is all the way down and you slam it. I'd just drop the door trim off and sus it out. Lucky door trim is easy to remove.

Yeah that's it, I'm hoping I can suss it out myself, but it can be a bit intermittent.... would like to see if anyone else has had this problem (and solved it) :)

The little plastic piece that goes inside the door trim and wraps around the metal that the inner handle screws into. The flat metal that sticks out. I'd say thats it

I'd just take the door trim off and have a feel around for anything loose. Love Magna door trims, simple as to take off so it's not like you're gonna be wasting an hour of your time or anything.

I had the feeling that something like this may be required. What's involved in adjusting them?

I've already taken the door trim off and tightened just about everything I could find. Also added some weather stripping around the big metal thing that runs across the service hole, in case that was rubbing against the door trim. I was hoping that someone might know a particular weak point :(

Thank you for your helpful reply! I will promptly abandon my attempt at diagnosing and fixing my problem on this sound advice!

Are you sure its coming from the door?
Might be also something loose under the dash/glovebox
When do you hear the rattle?

*Edit* Just read first post again
Yea mine makes a nosie too ever since the car was broken into on that door
It's either the window of the cover for the door lock (located where door meets the B pillar)

It's completely intermittent. Can go for a drive one day and it'll be dead silent, but go down the same road the next day and it'll rattle like anything.

I do use my passenger door pretty regularly (it tends to be opened on nearly every trip I make) so I'll be sure to check the door lock and that - thanks for the suggestion.
