Hello, my alternator belt has snapped off on my drive to work and was wondering if anyone could help with instructions on how to install another one? I've had a look under the bonnet and it looks like a tricky job!! I am a n00b when it comes to cars but would give it a go if it's not too difficult. Also if I were to pay someone else to do it what would it cost??

Also, if your magna gets a little hot, I mean the temperature slightly above the middle mark, is that something to worry about??

12mm socket 14mm spanner. have to remove aircon belt . 14mm lock nut 12mm tensioner bolt . then same for the alt . 14mm lock nut 12mm tensioner.

no mate just the aircon belt . the aircon locknut is apian to get to .its the idler wheel under the dissy
