Get an engine stand.
Engine is a tad lighter than the 3.5l if what I've heard is correct, don't take that as fact though.

at a rough guess i would estimate it to be 250kg. unless you have a good 4 wheeled trolley you will need an engine crane or similar

Posh, cashed up method: Engine crane and engine stand.
Ghetto method: old piece of carpet, engine on it, pull like mad, when in right place fold carpet over engine to protect it from the weather.
I've used both methods. Guess which is easier? lol
(if you use the ghetto method, helps to have a few spare hands, and sing "He ain't heavy, he's my . . . new 380 engine" or something equally motivational.)

can the 380 engine fit into TL VRX? are they much better?
If you have a crane only, I've often seen engines stored sitting on a tyre with no rim. Make sure the exhaust isn't under the engine at the time though, cover any inlets/outlets to keep dirt from getting on all the inside-y bits (eg. intake/tb/exhaust ports) and maybe a sheet over the whole engine as well if you do much work in the shed where its stored.

I moved mine to the back of the shed the old way... Reallllll old. Lift up front of pallet, put a roller under it (ie broom handle or similar), push pallet until roller reaches back of pallet, repeat. Worked for the egyptians, works for me.

Yeah, just drop the engine on an old tyre making sure nothing can get crushed and everything will be fine.
Engine cranes aren't expensive, and are very worth it. 6G74/6G75 aren't actually that bad weight wise, but you'll still kill yourself if you and a couple mates try to lift one.
