can the diff be taken out without taking out the whole transmission

whats the steps for taking out a transmission to strip down and patch up

as said grinded and went bang turning a corner and doesnt go in gear just grinds when in d or r, without looking would it be the diff or wave spring

is the diff located at the back of the auto where the cv shafts go in

Are you sure you haven't snap a cv joint?

the auto has to come out

to get to the diff

its behind the torque converter and oil pump

i thought it wouldve been near the cv shafts, has anyone got pictures of the internals of a ts magna v6 transmission

and havent broke a cv joint its somewhere in the transmission, whats a diff look like in a magna auto, anyone have pictures

these are diffs of the 4 cyl theV6 are simillar

the repair manual doesnt have a picture of the full diff

whats a wave spring look like and where is it

whats the bit called the cv shafts go in

its the only pic i have of diffs
no pics of the box internals at the moment
one diff per box
no wave spring in the auto just circlips and spacers
needle roller bearings etc

the diff sits in the casing with spacers until taken apart
