fixing all the faults with the thing and there was a dodgy earth with idle solioniod and that was creating the surging, but still dose not drop idle. and the carbie has just been rebuilt so its not that. it has electric pump and its the crabie one. the only thing is probable where the pipes are running to and from, if any one has head this problem please help.

tricky things if not set up properly

the pump is low pressure so 3 psior more approx
the level is controlled through the float valve
theres no way the fuel line could be over pressure
unless float valve is sticking
or the accelerator pump on the carby is damaged

things to check
choke is set properly
vacume dash pots all work (hold vacume)
make sure the lower butterflys are opening and closing
idle works best at 1000 rpm
timing 13 deg btdc

(I have a TM carbie model)
there are vaccume hoses everywhere
and fuel lines in and out unmarked

All the fuel lines are fine and the timing might be 2 advanced that might do it, fixed the vacuum lines and constantly holds around 1500 rpm

try the fast idle screw (you can adjust) to drop the idle

and try to balance the rpm with the finger idle knob

if no joy you may have to get to the factory idle screw
at the back of the base of the carbie

Ive only contented the vacuum lines i need and blocked the rest off and still does it ill try the fast idle screw but i just had the carbie rebuilt so im pissed that its doing this. the idle control knob dose not work when its in high idle. even backed the coke off so its not touching and still does it.

what about taking the car back to whoever rebuilt the carby for you

or try this
is there any slack in the accellerator cable

move the dissy till the revs drop to about 1000
then try the finger adjustment

I wonder if the dissy is at fault
are the two vacume lines to it ok
and is its vacume part holding

2wice all ready its been backs and he cant fault it, haven't tried that with the dizzy but its weird yesterday driving home she keeped the idle nice, so im guessing its still the vacuum lines. this weekend Ive got to drop the auto trans and change the seals so ill tinker with it more.
