I had my exhasuted fitted about 2 weeks but due to someone backing into it about 24 hours after I had it fitted I just got it back today...
Problem: Higher fuel consumption in puter but expected/slightly better fuel consumption on fuel gauge
Question: Could the puter be thrown out by the new exhaust and has anyone had similar problems?

No pipes are dented, eh? What system did u have b4? Do u have before after consumption figures?
Generally economy improves slightly (5%?) due to incresed power if same driving style is maintained.

the original CAT, and piping, it then splits into 2 2.25" pipes from the original 2.5 manduarl and 2 2.25 mufflers...
No dents, its all smooth, mandural etc had a good look at it while it was still up on the hoist.
If there was a leak in the pipe could this be a contributing factor?
My friend and I were sure we could feel hot air coming out from under it the night before i dropped it off at the panel beaters but haven't had time 2 look underneath
exhaust leaks can be heard easily. they sound like muffled wet farts.

maybe the cat had a bit of a knock and mildly colapsed? you could also be noticing less low end torque and therefor have to fight with the throttle to get the same speed when driving slowly.
