View Full Version : Engine splash guard?

There is a panel drooping down from the front bumper (full width of the car and about a foot deep). I can only imagine its some type of splash guard since it couldn't be strong enough to do anything else. Unfortunately it's been damaged and wont mount up out of the way anymore.
What is this part called? Is it possible to get it as a spare part? Where (since nothing like it shows up on ebay)? How much is it likely to cost?
Thanks in advance for help with this noob question.

Yeah it should just be called a splash guard (that's what I've always called them). Try your local wrecckers? I'd assume you could get it from Mitsi as a new part? Dunno a part number though lol. I see soooo many Magnas/Veradas getting around with the splash guard hanging down like this! (Even mine was for a while 'til I just took the bloody thing off!)

Wreckers should be easy to get one of these splashguards. They are easily damaged when parking spots have concrete bars etc, backing-off can tear the plastic guard.
Sometimes you can "resurrect" a guard by adding a washer on the mounting bolts, or as mentioned the dreaded cable-ties.
A year or two back. i think there was mention in here of a revised splashguard by Mitsi, better design or more durable - was it brought in on TL or something? Maybe the Part Number thread would have mention of the Part number or cost, if you want to get a new part from Mitsi?

$17 from Mitsu?! That's well worth it. Thanks so much to everyone.
