Hey guys, I need some help with my towbar problem. When Mitsu fitted my towbar, they just cut through the spoiler to attach it, which is apparently the way they fit all of them. I've had the towbar removed but the resulting cavity looks **** since there is no bush/surround to make it look tidier.

Does anyone have a bush around their cavity? Or does anyone know where I can get one? I've been to auto parts shops and they have no idea what I'm talking about. Same story with towbar places. I know they exist cos I've seen cars with them. I just want to know where to get them. I aksed Mitsu but they gave me something that looked like door lining. It can't be bent to suit the cavity.

i have that black rubbery/plastic stuff going around the tow bar part on my spoiler but i have the Towbar on cause if any 1 decided to rear end me their screwed first hehehe

g'day, if its the little chunk they pop out of the back of the rear bar i have one here you can have. its a peice of plastic that simply clicks into place and is taken out when the towbar is installed. cheers kyle mr_magna

Can you get a "removable" towbar that you dont need to pop off that little bit? Ive seen it on my uncles holden but unsure about magna's.

if u gunna leave towbar off wouldnt be hard to bog up would it? when i take my towbar off im gunna bog it up (and the indent around the rear bar to make it look fat as) so its all nice n smooth

Yep, it just goes around the hole so you don't see the edges of the plastic spoiler. Is it possible to get a pic please?? :P

Apparently the VRX spoiler doesn't come with a removeable pop out tab. They actually cut into the plastic. Shame, would've been good otherwise. Thanks for the offer though. :)

I actually want to put the towbar on occasionally (might even put it on permanently to protect form car park incidents) otherwise I would consider bogging it up.

i thought the tow bars for the vrx's go under the spoiler. i hav a magna brochure and shows that little cover u were tlkn about on the executives etc. and then they had another tow bar that goes under the spoiler so no cutting would b needed so i dont noe wat kind u hav on urs

I would have thought it would have gone under the spoiler but the guy at Mitsu said that is the way they did i.e. cutting throught the plastic spoiler. This is the TJ VRX we're talking about. I really need to see another VRX with towbar to ascertain what's going on.

Thanks meh, but I'm after a plastic/rubber bush cos I want to keep the hole for when I need a towbar.
Although, for 2 bucks it might be worth just plugging it up. Where is zupps??

oh no its not a permanent replacement
it just clips in and out wen ever ya need

A company by the name of Carousel install towbars to VRX's that go under the rear bar instead of Mitsu imbociles :rant: hacking your bar apart.
