Ok 9 months after the clutch went I finally put the last bits together today.
When I took the gearbox out I wasnt able to get the reverse lamp switch off so of course it got mangled.

I cant seem to find anywhere to buy a new one, the guys at supercheapauto and repco not even knowing where to look. So can someone point me in the right direction without mentioning the word wreckers? I need the bit that goes into the gearbox and also the part that fits into it and is attached to the wiring.

And that is my second problem I am sure it was wired with blue wire. I am sure I tied it up out of the way but for the life of me I cant find it. So where in the engine does the wire come out and if I cant find it how do I put a new wire in. The manual is useless with regards to that sort of thing.

Thanks

Try your local mitsubshi dealership, to see if they can help out. Then you might need to do a wreckers run as second gen are getting older and unpopular, so nobody got brand new parts for them :(

They aint very popular with me at the moment either. So what about the second part of the question? Assuming I get the part how does one feed the wire through from the light to the engine compartment?

Hey I just been quoted $70 for one from a wrecker. Sounds like a lot to me though I suppose it is brass. What do you think?
