Just unsure of this one, does the TL/W have a dimmer trigger wire to dim a head deck with that feature.

I'll be getting in there to recheck the solder :hmm: on the amp trigger wire, I'm sure I soldered that little bugger.

If you connect the dimmer wire to an aftermarket deck then the dimmer switch will not work causing it to be on full brightness

The dimmer works perfectly on my Sony headunit. SHOOT - I'm fairly sure that it's a yellow wire.

Do you mean I won't be able to dim the speedo any more, or the the new head unit wont variably dim in sync with the dash, or something else?
Perhaps some decks are wired differently, I seem to have had a win with this JVC, variable speedo dimming and the JVC dims to user selectable dim setting.

Its definately the green white/wire on the magna loom, and converts to Orange on the aerpro-JVC loom.

Hmm must be different between the brands then
My Alpine didnt let me dim my dails at all, was stuck on full brightness
I think Eclipse's units are the same
Just depends on the units features I guess

Thanks for the help every one, My speedo is back to Green, I will switch to green LED's everywhere, kinda the green hornet theme perhaps...
