One of the problems of taking months to put something back together is you forget where some things go.
I had the wire break on the oil pressure switch and now I need to fix it up I cant find the end of the wire.
The short part of the wire that is still attached to the oil pressure switch is solid and sorta white.
There is a wire that comes out of the wiring harness that lies along the clutch housing but it points towards the back of the car, not the front where the oil pressure switch is. It is black and white and has strands. I thought this might simply be an earth for the air conditioning or something.
Any ideas please?

lol has no clue why they gone missing but the wires should be on the driver side of the car harness. That were mine were coming from.

How could you know? I am just so frustrated because I am quite careful about that sort of thing and I know they were just hanging lose at one stage. However now they are gone as if someone came along and ripped them out.
At least armed with your info about the harness I will have another look in the full daylight.
cheers

Sorry to jump in on your thread, but instead of opening another on the same subject.. I have a 2.6 4 banger tr whats the easiest method in removing the oil pressure switch (assuming its the one at front of block between manifold and water pump) The plastic cover containing the wire does it just pop off then remove wire and unbolt (does it need a special tool) i just want to remove it to give it a clean as i just removed all the water logged oil and thought it better to clean it up.. cheers

Not sure about the water pump. If you look at the front of the engine there is a heat shield and that has the oxygen sensor in it. Just behind the heat shield and to the left is the oil pressure switch. The is a little plastic piece from the wire which slides onto the terminal. Just slide that off and then I think you can unscrew the actual switch but I aint sure of that as I left mine where it was.
