hey guys,
has anyone bought the GTR style front bar to suit 3rd gens from car mate?

what is the quallity and fitment like?
and has anyone got any pics of it fitted and painted?

I have one on my TE now. Yes its not the best quality bar but i liked the style and got it for a good price. Fitament was not hard really. Bit of work to take the stock front bar off. No extra bolts were supplied with the carmate bar. Just the bar itself. I painted mine at home as i have air comp and equipment to do it.

GT-R bar? From what GT-R? R-32, 33 or 34?

I saw an R34 GT-R bar on a TJ. That combo is an acquired taste. Didn't do it for me personally but if you like that sort of look then go for it :) Your car so your opinion is most important.

yeah thats the one but carmate shows it without the grill for tj's and the bottom looks diff. looks like a bolt on lip but is one piece..

i just noticed the indercator is cracked exactally like mine:)

There is a few Skyline style bars they make, as far as I know the one in the earlier pics is not avaliable without the grille section but there is 2 other types that come with a grille section & without also.
I have had quite a few bars & other bits from Carmate mainly because mates bought stuff & found out it does'nt fit by a mile & is flimsy crap. I currently have a rear wing on my car from them & it is the only thing I have ever seen that is good from there.
So if you want a good bar put on a Ralliart, Sinex, or a Talon lip on your bar they are good quality & you will be happier.

Jetspeed make them, I used to work there and they used my car to make the mould for it
