Hey guys,
Have just remembered that I have 2 knock sensors sitting here so was wondering if they can be installed onto my TL?
Also where abouts do they get installed? and are they hard to install?
If so would I need to do something to the ECU to know its there? or cant our ECU's support them?
Any info would be great
Cheers

Take off lower plenum. Mount above water rail. There's a bracket you can pinch from the 380 to mount it all up.

I know we have a place on the motor to mount it, but don't think our ECU's are able to support it.

Magna/Verada ECUs don't include the knock sensor support as far as I've discovered from disassembly of the ROM code. USDM Diamante ECUs do have the knock sensor support, but come with other headaches (aka California emissions requirements).

You need to use with the knock sensor gauge I think I sold with them but you cannot plug into the stock ECU to alter timing. The gauge just allows you to have your mapping changed with either an aftermarket ECU or an Adelaide stock ECU remap and monitor in the cabin while driving that you aren't knocking especially when using a SC, turbo or wild remap etc.
