gave the engine bay a clean as i got a oil leak somewhere does not drip on driveway
on the tranny on top a bit of oil and i found this plug dont know what it is any ideas
off a tj magna
i just gave a degrease in three weeks used 1.5litres oil somehow car only done 115k
its not rockers tube seals all done 3 months ago
still have no idea what this plug is for

oil might be leaking out cam seals on the end of the heads or distributor O ring these could both run down ontop of the gearbox.

That plug is one of the blanking plugs used in the factory when the engines are built, when installed it is then removed and thrown out.

In this case it has been dropped and prob been sitting on top of your trans since then, have seen these before and have a nice collection of them here somewhere lol

With the leak, check the thrust cap in the front head and the dist seal in the rear head, when you did your rocker covers did you also clean out the breathers as when they are blocked it can force oil out of the cam seals, thi will come out of the other side of the motor though

ok ill have a look at the hoses see if blocked ,cracked im sure i did them though
have given a clean try to pinpoint more were it is
mal were is this{ thrust cap in the front head }
ill take a close look at dizzy
was oil by starter motor as well but i surpose cant really tell hopfully the clean will show it up
as for the blanking plugs what were these used for
im so surprised after 11 years i still had on in the car ha ha amazing
