Has anyone tryed this at all here???

1. Locate the Data Port.

2. Insert keys in ignition and leave in the OFF position.

3. Make sure there are metal contact pins in terminals 1 and 4 and connect the Data Port with a suitable jumper wire, leave jumper wire connected throughout the programming procedure. Make sure you know which terminals are 1 and 4.

4. Within 10 seconds after connecting the jumper wire, turn the ignition switch to the ACC position and then back to OFF 3 times. Note: The doors will automatically lock and unlock once at this time indicating that the system is in the programming mode.

5. Press the LOCK button on the transmitter to be registered three times within 10 seconds. Upon successful programming, the door will lock and unlock once.

6. If there are two remotes, register the first, then register the second. Repeat step 5 within one minute to program second remote. After completing the second programming, the doors will lock and unlock once.

7. Disconnect the programming wire and remove the keys from the ignition.

Are you trying to program the central locking remote ? The above will only work for a ke or kf xi. If you are try to program it to any other model, all you need to to is close all the doors, put the key in the ignition and turn it from off to acc 3 times, the last time leave it in acc the indicators should flash then press a button on the remote and it should be programed.:)

AFAIK, you don't have to bridge any connectors in the data port and you only have to press the remote's button once.
But otherwise that sounds about right.
It has been posted on the forum previously - I thought it would be easy to find, although it's normally called programming or registering a remote.

Since the OP says a KEY CHIP - I think he means the chip in the actual key - again as far as I know, the key has to be programmed to match the "BEM" in your specific car - for that I think you have to take the key and your VIN # to a Mitusbishi dealer/service dept and they can program it.

Hopefully someone more knowledgable can confirm above - I just wanted the post count :)

I will chime in, as always and state

PLEASE for the love of god, only post up this if you are 100% sure that you are posting accurate information. If it is just something you have read then DONT POST it please as one of these days someone will fry and ECU or worse

To programme you need the MUTTII, you can not programme with the above method so please dont even risk your ECU
