This post follows up on an earlier posting about the growl in my wife's TF Magna. I had a bit of time and looked at the top right engine mount. There is a small thingy (a vibration damper) bolted to the top of the mount by 2 bolts. This thingy was photoed some time back, and in that post it was revealed that later models did not use it at all.

I had a look at mine, and found that one of the bolts was slightly loose. The thread has stripped. It is not symmetrical in that there is an angled face on one side, so I removed the thingy and turned it around and bolted it back again. Voila! the growl has all but gone, and when I get around to retapping the hole and fitting a slightly larger bolt, I am hopeful that the noise will be totally gone.

It may be worthwhile if you have a growl to try removing the damper and see if that cures your growl. It sems to have done wonders for mine.
