I'm having issues installing a CD player in my 96 TS. I've been through the forums and found a few other questions similar to mine but no answers..
I bought a wiring harness (APP0110) Note it has 2 plugs. Pulled out old radio, but the radio is only attached by 1 plug. It is the same as the larger of the 2 plugs on the wiring harness I bought, but the wires don't seem to match.

A - Grey (RFS+)
B - Purple (RRS+)
C - (no pin) Do Not Use
D - White - (LFS+)
E - Green (LRS+)
F - (no pin)
G - Orange (Headlight Illumination)
H - Yellow (12V+)
I - Red (12V-)
J - Green w/ Black (LRS-)
K - Purple w/ Black (RRS-)
L - Blue (Power Antenna)
M - White w/ Black (LFS-)
N - Grew w/ Black (RFS-)
The stock one in my car has:
A - Red
B - Nothing
C - White w/ Red or Red w/ White (possibly RFS+?)
D - Black (possibly Black w/ Black RFS-??)
E - Nothing
F - Green
H - Red w/ Black (12V+)
I - Blue (12V-)
(I got the colour code guesses for both harnesses from the Install Dr PDF..but they're just guesses)
There is another smaller stock harness in the car which I thought might connect to the 2nd plug (with JKLMN) but it's attached to the controls for the power mirrors..
So.. my questions are:
1) Assuming there is no second plug ... can I re-wire the harness I bought to match the one in my car?
Because the harness in the car only had A-I and was the only thing (other than the areal) plugged into the back of the stock radio I was hoping I could just re-arrange the wires on the plug of the harness I bought and ignore the second plug.... do I really need the second plug?
AND
2) Anyone know what A - RED and F - GREEN are? I was thinking maybe LFS and LRS?
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a four hour drive on Saturday and I don't really want to have to listen to tunes through my phone :eek2:
Thanks in advance =)
