recently my car's developed a creaking noise, on accelleration and quick brakes.. kinda sounds like when you have creaking floor boards, or a creaking door? it happens when i accelarate from a stop, sometimes when i release the throttle, sometimes when i brake (but more oftem when i release the brake)
it sounds and feels like the car underneath my feet are stretching? i thought it might be the dash, or the seat... but it isn't... anyone else have this problem?
btw, the car's a series 1 tj vrx

Might be a bit obvious but it's not the spring attached to the accelerator or brake? My Verada used to have this.

checked the seat rails.. sounds/feels more like it's coming from under the car, on floor where ur feet are... lol it kinda vibrates...
and if it is the springs, how do i fix it?

My experience is it is the front seat belt height adjusters on the B pillars. Spray with a little silicone spray and move up and down a few times and creaking noise disapears.

with the help of some garden hose and a carrot.. i successfully found and rectified the creaky culprit!
this bent bolt was bending creaking, rubbing like a mofo!

thanks all for your input...
i have deduced, using again the garden hose and carrot.. that it took over 1 tonne, going at 65km/h to bend this bolt...
the end.. no more annoying SQUEEKS and CREAKS!! YAY! :fruitcake:

Please excuse my ignorance, but what exactly did you do with the carrot in order to resolve this issue, and for that matter what did you use the garden hose for??? lol

lol the carrot was nothing... but the garden hose was used like a stethoscope.. with all the engine noise and stuff etc.. it's hard to pin-point where the noise is coming from... macguyver styles

Hi i can't see the picture on this thread it isn't loading but i think i may have the same problem on my TL VR! I thought it was the engine mount (which was cracked and is currently being fixed for free because a certain dealer managed to get a dodgy roadworthy) but am not so sure atm. could you help me and specify what the problem was a bit more?

nice thread mine mate
problem may be your rear windscreen, seals tend to go causing the windscreen to creak
