As some of you are already aware, I'm half way through a 3.8L mivec conversion. My most recent hurdle was the difference in timing marks between the magna and the pajero, to overcome this I've had to turn the cam shaft back 60 degrees.
Mechanically this works out for me. Ignition wise not so good, because the locating mark is in a different place. As the distributor is also set up into 60 degree increments, will it work out if I shift the ignition leads back one each ie - move 1 to 6, 2 to 1, 3 to 2 etc...

There is a cam shaft position sensor also located in the distributor, will me moving the leads back effect anything to do with this? And will this have any effect on the fuel injector firing?
