Hey all
my TE remote (peanut shaped one) broke at the plastic bit where loops on to your keyring :(

the remote itself works fine but i need to fix it now.

Does anyone have any ideas how to repair it?? super glue i dont really trust and electrical tape cant get around the plastic because it broke in the corner.

Can you get replacement shells? or doesn't anyone know how I can fix it and make it as strong as before? If i buy a replacement remote where is the cheapest place to buy one or are there after market models that are stronger?

Thanks

When we had a TF our remotes both broke the same way. I drilled small holes in either side of the broken "bit" and glueing a piece of wire in place with Araldite. My parents have the car and the repairs have lasted over 5 years to date.

Only thing is you need to make sure you dont drill into the circuit board!

i used a really thin serated knife blade and in a sawing motion worked around the edges utilising the recess until i broke through, impossible to open it up cleanly and araldited it closed with a fresh battery.

if you wait for a photo ,you wont have to do this, you just need a sharp drill bit and drill
