for your model just take the caps off the back of the headlights and release the bulb from the spring!

Your confusion will be cleared up as soon as you lift the bonnet and have a good look. As above, pull off rubber cap, remove clip and electrical connector, then pull out globe.

Yeah mate it's not that difficult. Just do what MR SPL and MadMax said.

Less time on the computer and more time with your head under the bonnet, me thinks.

guys guys.....please dont forget that the biggest pain in the arse bit is actually removing the plug from the globes, remember that the plugs do have lugs on them and you NEED to squeeze them on the sides to release them from the globe, don't do this and you run the risk of bending the wire that hold's it in.

The one your thinking of is the TL/W's where you have to go into the tyre well to change a globe

For your car you just need to remove the washer bottle on the drivers side and the battery on the passenger side to gain full access to your globes
Fog lights if your cars STD height then should be able to reach under and change them
Hardest part as said above is actually removing the plug on the back of the headlight, be gentle as they are easy to snap once they get alittle old

TIP - don't touch the glass on the new globes with bare hands. Fingers leave a small amount of oil on the glass which heats up and leads to discoloration.

Hey thanks all, I did pull out a plug thing but was worried about doing damage so thought I would ask first! I'll see how I go... Damn I need a handy person around!!

Will actually blow your globe.

Your TJ is not actually easy.
Good tip about removing the battery as this is the most difficult side.
Get a good extra output globe like philips or osram. These will at least help improve what are rather ordinary lights.
