Hey crew,

On friday I had my car in for a service at Mitsubishi when I was alerted to a problem on the car. I was told the brake and fuel lines were rusted out? To my shock I called Bull and said this isn't a 30 year old car.

The dealer assured me it was true and asked that I take a look at the car when I get there. So sure enough we get the car on the hoist to discover the following:

I asked how such a thing could occur? I was told that this was a problem for the TJ model and was actually part of an official model recall. Apparantly my car was never brought in as part of the recall.

So I'll contact Mistubishi Australia and will see if there is any way that I can get this covered, its worth a try.

Also, just putting it out there foir other Magna TJ members to take a look at the underneath of their car and inspect there lines.

Mine were rusted like this accross the entire car!

Also, has any other member had this issue as well? Please let me know.

I do remember there being a recall, despite of how long, Mits are obliged to carry through any recal work if it is still outsanding.
