I cannot confirm which model my car is. Build date is September 2003. Why does it not tell you on the vin plate or rego paper or operators manual? :mad:

It most like a TL as you stated 2003 :) If got a rounded front end it a TL :)

Hey people, my name is Shaun and I'm a proud owner of a TL magna ES

VIN Number decodes to tell all sorts of good stuff.....

Magna VIN's tend to begin with "6MMTx...yz...etc"

6 = Australian built
MM= Mitsubishi Motors
T = Magna (a K in this location indicates Verada)
x (being the next letter in the VIN number after T, will indicate what model series your car is.

ie: 6MMTJ = TJ magna or 6MMKW = KW Verada.

Look in the PDF versions of the Workshop manual if you want to "decode" further stuff from the VIN number......

I was taking an educated guess when I posted that. I Couldn't confirm then either.

I hope it was O'Brien who did the windscreen for you.

If that's the only reason you needed to know what model your car is then it doesn't mater as all Magna's from 1999-2005 (TH-TW) took the same screen. To get technical, Magna's from 1996-1999 (TE-TF) also will accept that screen but the mirror block is in a different position so a different screen is used just for that reason.
