just wondering where i should be looking to find the leak in the 2gen i just picked up this arvo from a mate, pic attached

well that narrowed it down :D
are they expensive to fix or hard to do for someone who doesnt know much about cars?

shop around. last one igot was $13,50. they can be done two ways . if you have acoulple right angle pick slide them up the cam get behind the seal and pull back. myself i remove the rocker rail .so i can check for ware on the cam and place new seal in unworn place on the cam.

yeah i dont think i know enough to understand half that lol, might just have to pay someone to do it....how long a job would this normally be so i know when i go get qoutes

is there anything in particular that should be replaced at the same time and what could have lead to this seal breaking in the first place

theres two pipes on the rocker cover . pc valves they can get blocked and increase persure in the sump.the cam seal is a stanard oil leak spot they all go there.
it take,s 30 minutes to do a cam seal.when i do the seal i give the pc valves a clean. so probly 1 hour in a shop. they may also replace the rocker cover gasket aswell.
