This might sound stupid but how do you do this and is it legal?
I want to make my car look a bit different at the back.
Thanks,

I believe its got a little to do with the red reflector losing its... REFLECTIVENESS.
I wouldnt stress too much with a light tint..

your main problem is if you have an accident, insurance people would inspect your car, see dark tails and ping you for it, 1 coat is heaps, 2 coats will give you the finish i got, does look dark in the photos but doesnt when infront of you, i wouldve gone 1 but couldnt give a shit cause my taillights are all cracked and chipped

The MAIN problem is when you hit or that $200,000 Porsche hits you, and your insurance company wipes you because the car was un-roadworthy.

i sprayed my old ones, looked crap, went on the net and brought proper tinted ones( or just dark ones) and they are really good looking. been pulled over a number of times for other things and no issues with them.

unfortunately, the wagons dont have different styles of tail lights like the sedans

but cant u still but after market tinted ones?
There is a certain percentage of tint that is allowed, i cant remember the figure atm but some is allowed, but it is very little.
