How do i get into the bulb (stupid question i know) but can't seem to work out how?

Carefully pry the plastic off with a screw driver.

You dont need to apply too much force, but yes it just clips back in.

If you have manual air con, the plastic facia is hold by 2 screws on top (one in each side), and if you have climate control it's just pop out, BUT BE CAREFULL DO NOT PUT TO MUCH PRESSURE, COS YOU'RE RISKING TO BRAKE THE CLIPS!

Edit: To get the centre facia out, you have to pull out the top centre vents and the ashtray first!

Got one what? LED festoon? I used to use them in my 2nd gen, got some new updated ones arriving for the new car. You need 31mm, probably plenty of threads here as to which ones to go for.
