Change the oil filter NOW!

Can you hear any bearing rattle when you blip engine from inside bonnet? If so oil pressure IS low and dirty filter is possible cause

How dirty is your oil? Is it serviced regularly?

Faulty oil pressure switch. It happens. Not likely to be oil filter, as it has a bypass valve to allow oil to still flow when the filter is blocked. If the oil pressure switch was accurately reporting low oil pressure, your motor would be FUBAR anyway.

20,000Km between oil changes is way too much! Unless you do long highway trips and knock up 20,000 Km in 6 months and run a really good oil like Mobil 1 (or any other synthetic), I'd change it more often.

Your faith in Mitsubishi dealership mechanics is admirable.

The oil pressure switch is under the car near the oil filter I believe.
