If you are running from head unit then it is generally better to go for highest sensitivity rating. Find out the rating of the clarion then you will have your answer :) Better yet see if you can try them at autobarnz

I am trying to remenber the 6x9s I gave to sparky, they belted the seat from an Aftermarket Head Unit, in the words of Ford Fairlane 'Un Fn beleivubull'

If these are the only two pairs you are inclined to choose from, i would suggest you go have a listen to them and decided then.

On paper i would suggest the Clarion's because the specs look a little bit better in my opinion, but like in alot of cases these can mean nothing.

You would have to hear them next to one another to properly decide. Pop into Autobahn or JB Hi Fi or somewhere like that to take a listen to a few different sets and see what you like.

Thanks Sparky, Not sure if you can get them anymore, but a nice set of splits up front and the VDO Daytons 6x9's (Yeah I know) and they really punch off a head unit. After owning pioneers, alpines, and many more, amped or not, they have had the best punch, and off a head unit, and around $60.00. Leave more cash for better splits. I wouldn't use them if I ran a sub however.
