Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I bought my first car ( 2002 tjII magna 3.5L manual )
Theres a few problems with it, manly the dash board lights are out, I've contacted a few wreckers I'm just wondering
Do I have to get lights from the same model?
What is involved in replacing them?

Also after the sale and i was about to leave the guy added in he has " tuned it and put in a new ecu and is pulling 280hp" Im pretty sure thats not true, but i was wondering what is a more likely figure? Its a Paraná ecu? He gave no more info...
Much appreciated

Your dash light could have blown a fuse :) Check the fuses box. However when you turn on the parker lights, does all the switches lightup? And your does your parker light turn on? If yes to these two question then you will need to remove the cluster out the dash and replace the lamps. I would read up the service manual for that and can be downloaded here.

Hi and welcome.
When you say the dash lights are out, do you mean the instrument cluster or the rest of the dash?
Being a TJII it has the trip computer built in to the cluster am I right?
If it has another ecu fitted, I would trace the wiring from the ecu up.

280hp is about 200kW, which is possible. If it has been tested to be 200kW, it's more likely to be at the crank than at the wheels but even then I'd doubt it.
Any figures he's "quoting" are likely guessed.

Also, I'm sure you would have turned up the dash lights resistor wheel thing, but not everything thinks to check.
When you put the parkers or headlights on, do the tail lights work?

Has it recently had an aftermarket stereo installed?

I'm not sure how it is in a TJII but in my TS I know the dash back lights wont work if the dimmer dial is unplugged

i had the same problem, no cluster, dash, gear, or tail lights, only low beam, ended being both parker fuses under the hood, never had a problem after spending $1:)

Pretty sure is a fuse in the fuse box from the engine bay!

Hey thanks for the help guys, i checked the fuses and there all fine, IM very sure its just a bulb gone cause some of the dash lights work, just one side doesnt. The cluster is working its just the left side of the dash isnt on, thanks heaps guys
