A friens of mine is having trouble with her TJ Sports starting and stalling, when you start it it can rev up to 2grand then drop to nothing and stall or jump back to 800 rpm, the battery seems fine. Anyone have any ideas?, cheers

i would kinda suggest looking at the throttle positioning sensor

Battery may seem fine, but very likely it is exactly that. Can she drop in another battery briefly to see if it fixes the problem?

I checked the voltage and it was about 13.5 volts with the engine off and just over 14 with the engine going. cheers

I looked at the TPS its in its factory setting postion, maybe the plug is not making a good connection?

i had a TPS go on me before, same symptoms as you have, not saying thats your problem, but i got a complete throttle body from the wreckers for like $20 and the car worked fine after that. inexpensive thing to do, just to check
