Had some doors donated to me so I could have the power window assembly.
I have undone every bolt i can see but without being able to move the windows down I cant get anything out.

Is the a trick to it or should i just go with the smash the glass theory?

Just apply power to get 'em down. Find the right leads (workshop manual), grab some wire, connect one to your battery +, the other to your -. Windows will have three leads, a positive (probably blue) and two earths, depending on which earth you connect to - it will either go up or down.

Or if you don't need the glass and don't have to clean up the mess, grab the glass with some pliers and twist. Cabooooosh.

Pm Life, he'll be able to sort you out having just done the same thing this week. No need to smash windows or apply power...i'll point him to this thread for you.

10mm spanner dude :) Make sure to remove all the stops, remove the window bolts with the spanner and coax it out.

Thanks life.. got the stops out from the top just gotta get the bolts that hold the glass to the window then i reckon it should come out
