Hey guys,

Im getting a buzzing noise when i indicate left, sometimes i have to indicate harder to indicate otherwise it just makes a buzzing noise... The noise is coming out from my indicator stalk :S

Its getting really annoying not being able to indicate when i need it to.

It is getting worse and worse as it the chance of it buzzing on me when indicating left is increasing..
Is there a easy way to fix this issue?

Sounds like the contacts inside the indicator switch are arcing and/or the actual switch is disintegrating internally and not making proper contact. I'd remove and inspect/replace ASAP before the law intervenes.

Common magna problem. Indicator stalk needs replacing, speak to MadMagna, who is also in Vic, he should be able to hook you up. http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/member.php?u=18

Failing that, could buy a new one from Mitsubishi, or try other wreakers, as a new stalk is not cheap.

you can just replace the indicator side of the stalk. very easy job. does not require removal of the steering wheel. just take off the plastic cover around the steering wheel then i think it was 4 bolts to remove the indicator stalk. cost me $30 for the used part from the wreckers and took 20 minutes to replace my buzzing stalk

I know it's a thread mine but it's the first result. Just had same issue, replaced with a 2nd hand unit and after a day, ive got the same issue again. Question is has anybody paid Mitsu price, and how much? Will find out tomorrow I guess but am looking at buying another item for it tonight and the budget is wearing thin :(

could be sticky/faulty relay, contacts, stalk on its way out or maybe even hazard switch
