Fitted new aero wipers about a month ago and today in reasonably heavy rain I get this annoying endless squeak from the drivers side wiper at the top of the wipe cycle. Dont get it in just drizzle conditions or with washer jets. Anyone know how to rectify this before I rip them off:eeek:
Is the blade or window dirty? Does the wiper arm feel a bit sloppy or easy to lift off the window?

No, all clean. Wipers clear the screen of water perfectly. No smearing at all.

Mint or fresh breath flavour?
Cheeers, I'll give it a go. What does it do?

when ever i polish my car i put some onto all the glass and rub it in (same as polishing paint work) then buff it out and when it rains you won't even need wipers as the water beads off so fast.

Cheers. I've always tried not to get polish on the screen. Another tip to try
I reckon the blade might just be a bit long and is rubbing on the screen surround

if thats the case put the wipers on and turn off the key when the wiper is up near the top of the glass to see if its hitting the rubber strip around the screen.

Well there is only one solution if thats the case.Tooth paste is an old tale and softens the rubber. its meant to cure squeaks and blades bouncing over the screen. There are prob better thinks you can buy from parts shop but hey its a free try if you already have tooth paste.

I rubbed toothpaste into the blades over the weekend and it rained heavily this morning. Screen is absolutely crystal clear. Not a smear BUT the bloody wipers wipers squeak worse than ever. Right across the whole screen.??
I have some graphite powder to lubricate locks. Reckon its worth a try on the blades?

Try autoglym glass polish, it makes glass surface smooth thus preventing excessive friction, its not that expensive, for me works quite well & you can also apply it to the actual wiper

Its not your screen, its the blades. Dont use rain X, it actually makes it worse and the wiper blades actually shudder during the wiping cycle from my experience.
Change to OEM blades with metal inserts. They are only 10bucks each.
