I was just wondering does anyone know what the cost of a hydrolic timing belt tensioner is? and what is the best place to get one from? cheers
Mitsubishi dealers sell genuine hydraulic tensioners for around $218. or bursons for $250 for non genuine.

RockAuto.com $80 for Non Geniune, but if you buy from there Buy the FelPro Rocker Gaskets too! They're gold!!!

I've been told to use genuine of aftermarket. Better quality. Haven't changed one myself - hope I never have to - but when that time comes it'll be a genuine part.

The cheapest way I know to get an OEM tensioner would be online from the US from a dealer. There's also a Japan site where the price is very similar but not sure how their freight charges would work out.
MD341830 is the original part but now has been superceeded by 1145A070. I would say delivered somewhere between $140 -160. A reasonable saving depending on how the dollar is going which it's been dropping lately. You may be waiting 2-3 weeks for it to arrive.
This is for a 6G74 possibly the same for the 6G72.
