My sister has a TF 3.0 Automatic, everytime she pull up and stop the revs go up and down from about 1200 to almost 0 and then stalls. It was doing it occassionally, but now it is doing it everytime it stops, sometimes it stalls as soon as she has stopped other times the revs jump and down a couple times and then it stalls. It starts again fine but then will stall again. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be. Thanks.

Check your air cleaner and for any vacuum leaks - just check all of those hoses leading to/from the throttle body are well connected and free of cracks/breaks.

Clean the throttle body - pretty sure there's a guide here. Just get some carby/throttle body cleaner and go at it. I pull the idle speed control motor out to clean mine. After that clean the MAF with some contact cleaner. I also clean the hose between the MAF and throttle body to.

So far the grand total for this would be around $30, add $35 if you needed a new air cleaner.

If its still doing it I'd be checking the Idles Speed Control motor. Simple check is the screwdriver stethoscope trick, if its not "whirring" away at idle its probably dead. That'll cost you - $100 minimum or a trip to the wreckers.

If its STILL doing it... and you're 100% sure you have no vacuum leaks I'd do a compression test. and drag it down to somebody with the right diagnostics to check its not a temperature sensor, O2 sensor or something fruity elsewhere.
