View Full Version : wiring confusion
am having trouble connecting radio/cd to existing wiring in TP - can't work out which colour wire does what .
If youre unsure get a cheap multimeter($10) and test the wires, otherwise you end doing what i did and have smoke coming out of your Cd player, a burnt out fuse and no front right speaker  .
There should be two for each of the stock speakers, a memory with 12V on it all the time and the Power with 12V on it when you turn on the ignition. Connect a wire to the metal underneath the plastic of the console (passenger side) for the earth.
Have fun lol

hmm ok ive got the TP mitsi manaul but too confusing so insted ive grabed the TN gregorys, from wot i remember i think the TN stereo is slightly different but here goes
blue-acc wire (i think for the TP blue/red)
black- negitive to all spakers
black/white- positive to the front right speaker
blakc/green- postive to the back right speker
black/red- postive to back left speker
black/yellow- positive to the front left
red/white- full time positive <fused
green/white- head/light dimmer wire
^ ok thats all for the TN se,elante
the glx and exec is the same cept the speakers to the back
and the elite is the same cept the speakers all have there one positive and the wires for the buttons on the steering wheel etc
But like Dim said its best just to go out and buy a cheap multi meter and test the wires there
good luck with the install if u have any other probs just say :D
