hey AMC

after getting my car serviced a few months back and them not "topping up" all the fluids like they were suppose to, ive noticed ive been going through a lot more of the power steering fluid than i had previously before.

i had run out of fluid in the entire steering and had to refill it after noticing heavy grunts. they said "i must have a leak, put cardboard under it and see what happens". after a weekend, nothing had been dropped and i had checked all the hoses.

with no leaks and all hoses connected properly, what could be causing me to be going through so much fluid?

many thanks.

Possibly the fluid is being retained in the rack boots after leaking past the rack end.....squeeze the boots to feel if they are full of fluid.

Only place is a leak. They commonly leak at the rack ends and input shaft seal

Drop in if you wand and i can check
