has anybody here lowered there vr-x or 3rd gen with vr-x kit? i hate the wheel arch gap but the kit itself is rather low!
super low would be rediculas? how does low and superlow compare with the kit on?

My VR-X is lowered ~40mm on King Lows. I have photos in my Member's Machine thread. Read it all, as I have photos of it with and without the flares on.
It's a reasonably practical height. As long as you slow down for speed bumps, and take driveways at an angle, you'll be fine. Scraping is inevitable, but it's certainly not ridiculous.
I think Superlows would have to border on impractical - I have had plenty of close calls where I can't help but think that I would be scraping if I had Superlows on the front.

Yes, you can get springs 'reset' (or compressed), but I would not recommend it. At 'Low' height, there's not a whole lot of travel left - you really need something stiffer than standard (ie aftermarket 'lowered' suspension). A set of compressed VR-X springs would bottom out constantly (making it ride terribly), and the bump stops wouldn't last long either.
There's a reasonable amount of labour involved in removing and refitting springs - springs themselves aren't that expensive. Definitely buy a new set.
