How do I remove the high mount brake light without braking it?
Is there a trick to it or do I just need to use a little more force?
I just dont want to brake it in the process. Any help would be greatly appreciated, pictures welcome. lol

Where the Roof lining and the brake meet, you can push the lining up gently and you'll see two red tabs/sprung clips, either side, that stop the light assembly sliding off their grooves to the rear of the car.
Your car key is perfect for this job, The red tab needs to come away (downwards) from the glass. Just push your key in there, and the light will move backwards with very little force.
Or the back end of a bread n butter knife. i.e. just a bit thicker than a screw driver.
Unless your car is a TE, then there are 2 bolts under the parcel shelf :)
Also check that it has not been Sikaflexed into position - mine was by the agents after it dropped 3 times....if so, the Sikaflex needs to be cut thru with a sharp knife.

This is pretty much the go - Also, if you have a look at the cover, there is an arrow either side - these are where the clips are located and where you should slide the screwdriver.

speaking of which, a few months back i got some dents removed from my roof and the dent remover fella removed the brake light (and i mean clips and all...), is there a way to fasten it back to the rear window? would some sikaflex work or is there something that would be better suited?
