Hi All,

Im buying some CV shafts for V6 TR/TS and the seller has asked for a VIN number from me.

Strange but claims it how he verifies the correct shafts to send out.

Now thing is i cant give a V6 VIN number as my car was a 2.6lt 4cyl and i have put a 3lt V6 DOHC 6G72 TT engine and getrag gearbox inside it. I already know the shafts that i had with the halfcut i got the engine from dont fit the TR (they are too long) and the shafts from the 4cyl magna gearbox dont fit either but the V6 TR/TS ones do fit.

Can anyone give me a 2nd Gen V6 VIN number so i can quote to this seller to get the correct parts

yeah that does sound strange, but if he does know his vin numbers then yes, it would tell him alot about the car.

Second gen V6 Manual: 6MMTS5D41ST037634

The easier way is to just jump on carsales and pick one at random.

Not strange at all, the Magna has 2 differnt hub sizes, the 4cyl has a smaller spline count, the v6 and "X" line (Elite) have extra splines
